 ODM STATEMENT ON INCLEMENT WEATHER

The Office of Disaster Management is advising the public to exercise caution as they move around today. The Met Service has indicated that a tropical wave is affecting Dominica.

A FLOOD WARNING has been issued for the island as of 9:30am Thursday August 19, 2021.

  • There have been reports of landslide in the Dubique area and heavy rainfall in other sections of the island.

CAUTION:

  • Be mindful of Landslide and rock fall hotspots including Dubique, under the Canefield Cliff, Tarreau Cliff and other vulnerable areas
  • Be mindful of flood hotspots including low-lying areas, bridges and roadways
  • Be alert if you live or work along waterways
